10/12/17 Third Grade Blog

10/12/17

Dear Families,

We hope you enjoyed your long weekend! Here is an update on our week:

Reading:  We finished The Twits and have been working on identifying setting in our independent reading books.  Next week we will begin practicing various reading strategies.

Writing:  We are working on strategies to help readers picture what we are writing about.  We have learned how to use precise verbs, sound words and color words.  We are also working on building our writing stamina.
