Dear Families,

We have had a wonderful week! Here is what we have been up to.

Literacy-  Students were very excited to work with Natalie Kinsey Warnock in Social Studies this week!  This enthusiasm about story telling and their families spilled over into literacy as we saw many working in their writer's notebooks!  We have switched our focus from poetry back to word study strategies.  This week we focused on hard and soft 'c'.

6/7       Third Grade Field Trip

6/14     Last School Day for students

Dear Families,

Thank you to all of our special guests who were able to attend our Poetry Breakfast this morning!  It was a wonderful way to honor moms and celebrate our poetry unit.  Here is what we have been up to:

Literacy:  This week we spent A LOT of time preparing for our Mother's Day Poetry Breakfast!  We also continued reading, The Wild Robot.

Literacy:  We started a new read aloud, The Wild Robot.  We are continuing to work on our poetry unit!  We are so excited to share what we have created at our Mother's Day Poetry Breakfast on May 10th at 8am.
