Dear Families,

It's hard to believe that Memorial Day weekend is upon us!  Next week, we will be turning the calendars to June...where has the year gone?!  Here is what we have been up to:

Humanities:  We started The Witches by Roald Dahl.  We are also completing local end-of-the-year assessments.  

Field Trip:  Permission slips went home for our June 15th field trip to the Waterbury Reservoir and Ben and Jerry's.  Thank you to all who agreed to chaperone.  Please note that you have to be an approved chaperone with CVSU.  Notices were sent home today if you volunteered but are not yet approved.

We have a wonderful week!  Here is what we have been up to:

Humanities:  We are continuing to work on writing paragraphs and responding to different texts.  We have also started a new read-aloud.

Dear Families,

Thank you to all who were able to attend our Poetry Breakfast!  Due to Covid, we haven't hosted this event since 2019.  Our students were so proud to share their hard work.  Here is what else we have been up to:

Humanities: We have spent the week testing!  Students did an amazing job staying focused and trying their best.  Next week, they will begin math testing.

Dear Families,

Happy May!  Next week, our third graders will be participating in state testing.  They will begin with ELA testing and then will do math the following week.  We are scheduled to test Monday-Wednesday each week.  We have familiarized students with the test format and encouraged kiddos to ensure they are well-rested.  Here is what we have been up to:

We have been very busy preparing for next week's Poetry Breakfast!  We are excited to share the poetry we have created with all our guests.  We have also spent time preparing for next week's testing.
