2/24/23

Dear Families,

It's hard to believe that it is already February break!  We hope you all have a safe and restful vacation.  Please note that Town Meeting Day is March 7th.  Click on this link http://williamstownvt.org/ for more information on Williamstown's Town Meeting Day!  We hope you will get out and vote.  Here is what we have been up to:

Humanities:  We have been working on constructing paragraphs that state, and provide evidence, to support our opinions.  They are doing an amazing job with this!  Also, much to their dismay, we have finished The Wild Robot Returns.

Dear Families, 

We had a great week!  Here is what we have been up to!

Humanities: We are continuing with The Wild Robot Returns.  We are working on making predictions and responding to questions in complete sentences.  Students have also started our cursive unit! Students are learning the basic strokes and have learned 6 letters.  The expectation is that they do not attempt to write in cursive until they have learned all the letters.  

Spirit Week:

Monday- 'Fun in the Sun'  (This is a tricky one and we will provide Leis  for the class to wear)

Tuesday- Class Color Day (Our class chose BLACK)

Wednesday- Crazy Hat or Crazy Hair Day

Thursday- Twin Day 

Friday- Flannel Friday

We had a great week!  Here is what we have been up to:

Humanities:  We are working on writing opinion paragraphs.  Students have come up with opinion statements, reasons to support their opinions, and conclusions.  We will be typing on Monday!  We are also continuing reading, The Wild Robot.

Dear Families,

We hope you are all staying warm!  We had a wonderful week in third grade!  The Kids on the Ball tennis program in PE was a HUGE hit!  It was especially fun for Mrs. T. who had the instructor when she was in middle school!  Here is what we have been doing:

Humanities:  We are finishing up our unit on folk tales!  Students have also been practicing forming opinions and writing opinion statements.  We are going to next focus on finding evidence to support our opinions.
