Short Week/Short Blog :)

March 10, 2017

We hope you all had a wonderful break!  It's hard to believe that we will soon be entering the third trimester of the year!  Here is a short update as to what we have been doing...

Writing:  As you may have heard, we started cursive!  Students are typically very excited and want to work ahead.  PLEASE DO NOT teach your child any letters we have not already learned as there are many different variations of cursive!  Thank you :)

We are starting our opinion writing unit.  We watched commercials and looked at advertisements in order to analyze persuasive techniques that they used.  We will soon begin choosing a topic we have strong opinions on in order to begin our writing pieces!

Reading:  It was a catch up week in reading!  We finished all of our Track My Progress testing and focused on independent reading.

Upcoming Events:

3/17/17    Icecream sandwich/extra recess celebration of Track My Progress Data

NO WORD STUDY until we have completed cursive!
