Dear Families,

We've had a wonderful week of learning!  Here is what we have been doing:

Literacy:  We have finished our Personal Narratives and will be sharing them with the class next week.  We are also finishing up our nonfiction unit and moving into folk tales.  Students have been working on their winter Star 360 assessment.

Dear Families,

Here is what we have been up to:

Literacy- We are working on reading non-fiction texts and understanding non-fiction text features.  In writing, we are finishing up editing our personal narratives.  Next week we will share and celebrate our work.

Dear Families,

We hope you had a wonderful break!  It was so nice to welcome students back and get right into our routine.  We've had a productive week, here is what we have been doing:

Literacy:  We learned about revising and worked in partners to do some partner revisions.  Students added, subtracted, moved, or changed parts of their stories to make them better.  In reading, we started our non-fiction unit.  We have been comparing the characteristics of fiction and non-fiction texts.  Also, we are identifying text features such as headings, bolded words, and charts.
