Dear Families,
Happy Valentine's Day! Students came in very excited to share treats and cards with their classmates and teachers. Here is what we have been doing:
Writing: We are moving right along with our opinion pieces! Students have been brainstorming their 'favorites' and reasons why those things are their favorites. They eventually will choose one complete an opinion piece that will persuade others to have the same opinion.
Reading: Students have been using big ideas, supported by evidence from the text, to come up with the theme for a book.
