4/27/18 Third Grade


4/27/18

Dear Families,
What a week!  We are so happy that spring has finally decided to arrive at WES.  Students were excited to be able to run around and finally use the lower field again.  Here is an update:

Writing:  We are focusing on poetry!  Students have learned 10 forms so far!  We are excited to share our work at our annual Mother's Day Poetry Breakfast.

Reading:  Miss Morgan is continuing to work with students on how characters develop.  Students are still tracking patterns in their reader's notebooks.

High- Seeing Miss Flinn put up our bird feeders from experiential learning
Low- it’s so muddy outside
High- PE when we got to do the throwing and catching game
Low- it was rainy
High- Warm weather
Low- Fire drill
High- Playing at PE
Low- pinching in math

High- Sunny on Monday and Tuesday
Low- it was rainy on Wednesday and Thursday

High- I did well on the fire drill, I got a diary from the book fair, I turned in my Jump Rope for Heart

High- It’s supposed to be warm on Wednesday, it’s almost Spirit Week

High- It’s outdoor recess without snow
Low- it was raining yesterday, I wasn’t being a Blue Devil during the fire drill
