A little late to post...

January 13, 2017

It is hard to believe it is January with the warm weather we had earlier this week!  Students had a blast at recess playing without coats and the usually winter recess gear!  It appears though, that the weather will be more January like from here out!  Here is an update as to what we have been doing:

Reading:  We started the book, The Miraculous Adventures of Edward Tulane.  We are using this book to teach inferences and how characters change.  Students continue to use evidence from the text to support their thinking.

Writing:  We are focusing on descriptive writing.  Students were asked to write about their shoes and throughout this unit we will learn strategies to improve those pieces by making them more descriptive.
