Dear Families,

We had a wonderful week in third grade!  We continue to be amazed by the deep level of conversation and thinking these learners demonstrate.  Here is what we have been up to:

Humanities:

We finished Because of Winn Dixie!  We had a great conversation that led to the writing piece, "What are the most important things that happened Because of Winn Dixie?"  As a special treat, we watched the movie.

4/24-4/28  April Vacation

5/11           Mother's Day Poetry Breakfast 8-8:40am (more details to follow)

Next Week:

Mrs. Thompson will be away for part of next week and the week after.  Her daughter was one of 25 snowboarders from across the country chosen to compete in the USASA National Championships in Colorado!  Ms. Franklin and Ms. Jazlyn will be with the third grade while she is away.

High/Low

High- we finished Because of Winn Dixie, we had a 1/2 day

Low- there is still snow

High- we did Winn Dixie

High- we finished Because of Winn Dixie and watched the movie, we had a half day, we get to stay in our group for Blue Devil time

Low- it's cold

High- we watched Because of Winn Dixie

Low- the snow is melting

high- It's Friday

High- the snow is melting, we got to watch Winn Dixie

High- we watched Winn Dixie

Low- we are done with Winn Dixie

High- it's spring

Low- it rained yesterday

High- we did Because of Winn Dixie

Low- we finished Winn Dixie, it's cold

High- we watched Winn Dixie, it's spring, we have PE today

High- it's spring, we are getting warm weather

Low- it's raining out

High- we watched Winn Dixie, I got to sit in the gray chair for the first time

High- warmer weather, snow is melting, it's PE

High- we have PE today

Low- winter is ending 

High- we watched Winn Dixie, it's spring

Low- it's cold out

High- we watched Winn Dixie, PE today, Fun Friday

Low- I had a day off when you saw the first part of Winn Dixie

High- the wonderful conversations we had about Winn Dixie, getting more Mercy Watson books

Low- I won't be here this afternoon to write about Winn Dixie

High- how well recess has been going

High- Because of Winn Dixie

Low- we had a 1/2 day
