10/22/21 Fourth Grade

Dear Families,

What a week! Here is what we have been up to:

Humanities:  We have completed our first mini writing project that asked students to pick a character trait they exemplified and provide evidence to support it.  Those will be coming home soon.

In reading, we have started Book Clubs!  We currently have 2 Book Clubs up and running and will add more next week. Students are learning how to discuss what they have read with their peers.  The book clubs will be guided by the teacher until students become proficient in running them.  We are still reading, Ruby Holler.  Students are doing an amazing job having respectful, insightful conversations.

Fall Fest:  On Friday 10/29 we will be celebrating fall.  Students will be able to wear costumes but no masks, make up, or props, please.  The celebration will take place in the afternoon.
