Dear Families,
We are so excited to welcome students from Mr. Maloney’s homeroom this morning! This transition should be an easy one as all three homerooms were following the same schedule and expectations. This change will allow for more targeted interventions to occur as well as longer literacy instructional blocks. Here is what we have been up to:
Reading: Students are working on character traits and using the text to infer what characters are doing and thinking. They are also working hard responding to and analyzing their independent reading books.
Writing: We are working on gathering ideas and writing entries in our writer’s notebooks. Students are analyzing other authors to see how well they use precise verbs and are trying to incorporate precise words into their own writing.
Headphones: Some students are struggling with the headphones provided by the school. Students can bring in headphones from home that are more comfortable for them! They can keep them in their backpacks or in their supply kits in their desks.
Library Books: Please continue to return library books as you find them or finish with them!
Upcoming Events:
11/11 No School, Veteran’s Day
Third Grade Learners
