Dear Families,
It feels like spring is finally here! Students are enjoying the warmer weather at recess. That being said, it is incredibly muddy out! We are encouraging kids to continue to wear boots. Here's what we have been up to:
Reading: We have started a new read aloud, Because of Winn Dixie. We will begin analyzing characters more closely.
Writing: We are starting our opinion writing unit. We have been investigating school issues and developing opinions about them. For example, we watched news reports on a district that was eliminating recess. Students will choose a school issue to write an opinion piece on.
