We have had a very productive week! Here's what we have been doing...
Writing: Our focus has been poetry! We have learned 7 forms so far: haiku, diamante, cinquain, pantoum, bio-poems, odes and acrostic. Students have been reading and writing poems and learning various strategies poets use. We hvae been so impressed with how thoughtful students have been and how eager they have been to share. We will be creating a class poetry book that will be published for the Poetry Breakfast on May 12th.
Reading: Our focus has been reading poetry focusing on comprehension and fluency!
Important Dates:
May 1st: Bus routes return to normal...NO MORE MUD ROUTES!
May 12th: Mother's Day Poetry Breakfast 8-8:45am
