Dear Families,

What a week!  With the late start and the early release we had a pretty mixed up week.  Here is what we have been up to:

Literacy:  This week we have been continuing to read The Wild Robot.  Students have been doing a lot of independent work and preparations for our Baby Shower we are throwing today for Mrs. Hermsen and Mrs. Peacock!

11/22/24 Third Grade

11/22/24

Dear Families,

Thank you to all who attended the Thanksgiving meal yesterday, it meant a lot to all of us!  We had a lot to celebrate at All School Morning Meeting today!  Third graders read a poem about gratitude, some kids were recognized for getting chosen to be in the Fire Safety Calendar, and, of course, our students of the month.  Please check out the video on Facebook.

Literacy:  We have finished our personal narratives and they will be coming home soon!  We are focusing on word study and learning about vowel teams.

We have had a great week in third grade!  Here is what we have been up to:

Literacy: Students worked hard to revise their personal narratives by using more precise language.  Yesterday, they learned how to type up their drafts so we can get ready to publish them!  We are continuing to read, The Wild Robot.

Dear Families,

What a week!  We are so grateful to the Williamstown community for the amazing parade we were able to participate in on Halloween.  It was awesome to see so many families cheering the kids on!  As you can see from our highs and lows, it was a  highlight of our week.  Here is what we have been up to:

Literacy:

We finished The War with Grandpa and have started, The Wild Robot.  Students have been working hard on their introductions and the middle section of their personal narratives.

Literacy:  We have been examining important information that authors give us by reading Stone Fox.  Students have been busy building up their writing stamina by writing entries in their writer's notebooks.  We are using ideas they gathered in their Idea Banks!
